Step by step we are changing over our vehicles used for transportation between plant I and II to electric vehicles. The electric cars will run with green power.

All cleaning agents used by elobau will to be replaced by ecological detergents.

We are planning to install an elobau-owned compost to compost the whole organic waste that comes up. Coffee grounds on it’s own generates every day 10 kg of waste.

With our changeover to biogas heating, our fuel tank became obsolet. In October 2011 the abandoned fuel tank found a new function: After a modification it serves as a cistern for rainwater to irrigate elobau’s external plant.

We are planning to use an energy management software in 2011. Many small electricity meters will gather the exact consumption data. The software will analyze this data with the goal of minimizing consumption.

The plans for an energy-plus-house are currently in full swing. An overarching photovoltaic roof is at the center of the planning.

Since September 2011 we are using only recycling paper for our company correspondence.

The packing materials used by elobau are composed of 60% recycled material. In the course of this year a changeover to 100% Recycling material will be carried out.
