Our solar energy plant makes possible a compensation of 1,300 CO2 per year. This corresponds exactly to the amount of CO2 released during the production of elobau products.
- 10,000 solar panels on 65,000 qm of space
- 2.4 MW of power
Until all measures are completely implemented, elobau will balance out the CO2 release which cannot yet be neutralized by buying Gold Standard carbon credits.
In the mid-term, we are aiming to become independent of climate certifications by
- changing from an energy source mix of petroleum/natural gas to biogas
- incorporating a micro gas turbine
- using 100% green electricity starting in September 2011
- adopting an energy management software.
